About the Range

Short Siberia is our shortest distanced full-bore range, with 27 lanes at 100yrds and 9 at 200yrds. Situated at the far end of Bisley Camp, Short Siberia is a secluded range, making it a popular option for members and club days.

Short Siberia offers benched undercover lanes, and standard lanes out in the open. With a mix of standard and electronic targetry, Siberia promises the very best in short range full-bore.

The Butts are to be accessed via the Target Shed Road passage, Movement over the mantlet is not permitted.

Firearms Permitted

Rifles; gallery rifles. Shotguns and pistols by special arrangement only

Maximum Muzzle Velocity: 1000 m/s (3280 ft/s)
Maximum Muzzle Energy: 4500 J (3319 ft/lb)
HME Permitted: 4500J - 7000J HME procedures apply

Special Requirements

The use of muzzle brakes and sporting stances is to be requested at the time of booking
Sporting stances on electronic targets is only permitted to a maximum of 100yds

Facilities

Parking:

Short Siberia has a large car park, just off of Hobson Way as you arrive at the range.
Overflow parking can be found at the 300yrd car park (what.3.words - sports.shape.stove)
There are disabled car parking spaces by the gate to the 100yrd car park, and disabled access onto the range can be arranged prior with the Range Office

Toilets:

Toilets can be found in the external toilet building in the Short Siberia car park (what.3.words - chef.amused.notes)

McQueen Targets

McQueen targets are available for hire on Short Siberia at 200yrds.

The premise of McQueen Castle shooting is based around a silhouette cut-out castle, of which contains windows in which the targets are exposed in for a short period of time. The target is randomly shown in these windows, and so it is down to the shooter to react in a short space of time.

McQueen's is popular as it brings a difference to static style shooting. As well as booking a McQueen target under a club or as an individual, you can book onto our McQueen member days, for an opportunity to try McQueen style shooting under supervision of an experienced NRA Range Officer (please see our Member Day section for more details).

How to Book

Select the range as either 'Short Siberia', 'Short Siberia Electronic (Session)', 'Short Siberia Hourly' or 'Short Siberia Electronic ' (for hourly options).

Select the number of lanes as required, and the timings (applicable for hourly bookings only; for full 'Sessions' please select AM or PM).

Please note that 'Short Siberia Hourly' bookings and 'fallback' bookings (that are requested for a date that does not already have a pre-approved fallback occurring), can only be approved 7 days before the booking date.
